During these unprecedented times, community members have come together to help their neighbours and support the essential work underway to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
On March 16, 2020, West Point Grey Community Centre closed our doors to do our part in the fight against COVID-19. Spring/ Summer program registration is on hold for the time being as we await further information on how the emergency response will unfold.
However, we have not forgotten about you, and are looking into new ways to connect with you while our centre remains closed.
As most of us spend more time in our homes, technology is a key avenue to connect with our friends, families and community. On March 20, as part of our dance residency, West Point Grey CC instructor, dancer and choreographer Desiree Dunbar launched a free online version of our Collaborative Creative Dance workshop series for adults ages 55 and up. This series will run on Fridays from 12:30-1:30pm on the Zoom.us online video platform into June 2020. Please see our Events page for more details about how to participate.
We are also investigating other online class offerings, and will make announcements as details become available.
It is times like these when all of us must come together as a community to support and care for one another. From our family to yours, thank you for your patronage and support of our community centre and community.
