In 1976 Aberthau was the office of the organizational group which was responsible for an international conference regarding human settlements; ACSOH; Habitat for Humanity. I worked at Aberthau in the summer of 1976 as a Recruitment Officer for Conference staff. This was a fascinating conference which had many well known speakers such as Mother Teresa, Margaret Mead, Buckminster Fuller and many others. It was a delight to work on such a fulfilling project in a pleasing environment. I also worked for West Point Grey Recreation developing a cultural series for my degree program at UBC.
