At the West Point Grey Preschool at Aberthau, children learn through play, exploration, creativity, and connection. We are a play-based learning program that believes children learn best through curiosity, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
Our philosophy centers on nurturing the whole child, recognizing that children’s growth is interconnected across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. We strive to create a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where each child feels safe, valued, and respected for who they are.
What makes our preschool special is our balance of structured learning, free play, outdoor exploration, and small class community. Children enjoy regular walks to the beach, visits to local playgrounds and gardens, cooking activities, music, art, storytelling, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and imagination.
Our Program
To attend Licensed Preschool, children must be 3 years old by December 31, 2026.
Licensed Preschool runs from Tuesday, September 8, 2026 to Friday, June 18, 2027. There is a two week break for Christmas, and a two week spring break.
Classes run from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please see the Parent Information Package below for details.
