We are seeking a Volunteer Human Resources Specialist Board Member. We invite you to join our Board, get involved, and ensure the Community Centre is a true reflection of your Community!

Skills & Experience Required:
- A belief in the importance of neighbourhood-based community centres
- Strong professional background in Human Resources
- CHRP designation preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Interest or knowledge of West Point Grey community an asset
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develops Human Resources policies for Association Employees (non-unionized staff team of approximately 10 Staff and 15 Summer Staff)
- Advises the board on Human Resources issues
- Leads the recruiting, hiring, and evaluations for Association Employees
- Works with the Vancouver Park Board to ensure the reasonable care and maintenance of facilities
- Approves an annual budget
- Represents community interests
- Makes decisions on membership issues
- Develops strategic direction
- Strengthens working relationship with the community
- Develops Human Resources policies for Association Employees (non-unionized staff team of approximately 10 Staff and 15 Summer Day Camp Staff)
- Advises the board on human resources issues
