Yeshvi has a passion for dance that can be seen, felt and heard in her one-hour BollyLatin Fitness class. The high-energy, dance-aerobics class starts this February.

Elegance and energy are two words that might spring to mind when you first meet Parviz Cordwell. The Tanzanian-born West Point Grey resident has sat on the West Point Grey Community Centre Association Board of Directors for the past eight years.

Natalie Vermaas, our Recreation Programmer and Kathryn Sweetapple, our Recreation Supervisor, are both transferring to the Roundhouse Community Centre in December after 7 and 4 years at our centre.

“Mike is very good. I think people really connect with him,” says Christine. “You can always count on him being there, and he knows everybody’s name.”

Congratulations to our two scholarship recipients who have dedicated countless volunteer hours to our centre and the community at large.

Maggi Cheetham’s passion for posture and proper form are partly behind why participants have flocked to her popular West Point Grey Community Centre classes since 1984.
